Alisal Center for the Fine Arts, Inc. - $15,000

This community arts group provides after-school and summer workshops in dance, music, poetry, drama and visual arts to children, teens, and young adults in the East Alisal area. This matching grant provided operating support for their programs.

Arts Council for Monterey County $15,000

This matching grant provided operating support for their Professional Artists in the schools program throughout Monterey County.

 

Big Sur Arts Initiative, Inc. - $15,000

This organization was founded in the winter of 1998 to provide enrichment programs for children residing in the Big Sur area. This funding provided operating support to continue the in-school, after-school, and summer arts enrichment programs for youth.

Carl Cherry Center for the Arts…$5,000

This grant provided funding for the Monterey County High School poetry awards, helping to recognize and promote excellence in high school poets.

Carmel Bach Festival $10,000

This matching grant provided support for the education and outreach Discovery Series program. This program reaches out to youth and families throughout Monterey County.

Classic Guitar Society of Carmel - $15,000

The Carmel Classic Guitar Society was established in 1975 to promote the classic guitar and its music through performance, publishing and education. This grant enabled them to continue performances to 5th and 6th grade students in Monterey County public schools.

Colleagues of the Arts - $7,500

This organization provides awards to assist in funding lessons, programs, and instruments or equipment for talented youngsters who lack the resources to develop their special gifts. This grant provided support to help them develop a mentoring workshop and to initiate the development of a website to assist students in accessing resources in the community.

Dance Kids of Monterey County $10,000
Dance Kids of Monterey County provides ongoing performance opportunities in dance and theater arts for youth throughout Monterey County. This grant provided funding to hire staff.

Forest Theater Guild - $10,000

Established in 1948, the Forest Theater Guild is the oldest community theater in Monterey County. This matching grant provided operating support for the high school All Star and Youth Apprentice program.

Monterey County Symphony Association - $50,000

These funds helped support the music outreach program and the Symphony concert series. The program encourages many children to take up musical training and helps foster an appreciation and understanding of classical music.

Monterey History & Art Association $10,000

This grant helped to underwrite their education programs for youth.

 

Monterey Jazz Festival $10,000

These funds provided support to help sustain and expand the Traveling Clinicians and Latin Jazz programs throughout Monterey County.

Monterey Museum of Art $15,000

This matching grant enabled them to expand the educational outreach, “Museum on Wheels” traveling program to schools throughout Monterey County.

Pacific Grove Art Center $5,000

The Pacific Grove Art Center was established in 1969 to educate the public in art appreciation and to stimulate interest in art through various venues. This grant provided operating support to help them strengthen their programs.

Pacific Repertory Theatre - $10,000

This matching grant provided operating support for their outreach programs to youth throughout Monterey County.

Spector Dance - $5,000

Spector Dance was established in 1995 to provide high quality dance training in an atmosphere that promotes personal creativity, good health and positive self-esteem. Funding helped them continue their dance performance programming in Monterey County. 

Youth Arts Collective - $10,000

This matching grant provided operating support in order to continue providing young people throughout Monterey County, ages 14-22 with an avenue for participating in the arts.
