Animal Friends Rescue Project -

 Animal
Friends Rescue Project provides temporary shelter,
medical attention, adoption services, and public
education on behalf of homeless, injured, and abused
companion animals in Monterey County. This grant
provided funding to help cover spay/neuter expenses.
Elephants of Africa Rescue Society - $5,000
This
funding provided support to help offset elephant feed
costs. This organization provides twenty-four hour
hands-on care, exercising the elephants on a daily basis
in a large 5 acre play yard in Salinas.
The Marine Mammal Center -
$10,000
This
matching grant provided operating support to continue
their extensive marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation
efforts in Monterey County.
